MY CALLING occurred while I was attending Haskell in 1998. The school was a fit for me and I knew God put me there for a reason. I developed many friendships and witnessed many accomplishments that these young leaders set out to do. Many of my friends are now doing great things to benefit others. I learned so many things as a young man but there was one thing that stuck with me the most. Why do we sometimes look at bad things to want to do good? It seems understandable and is a great motivator but you should never look back to go forward. I have dedicated my life to promote and encourage others to find their greatness to be the best in all they do.

MY PHILOSOPHY is simple… Be an example by living to influence others. It is never my business to judge how others live; however, if I encourage others to make healthy choices then I need to be setting that example as well. I am not perfect and won’t be until I am with my personal Lord and Savior, so in the meantime I will be an example.

MY OUTLOOK is to be vocal and stand up for what I believe in and in hopes of being a positive influence for others. I realize that I am part of a very rich culture as well as a very small population. My voice will give me the opportunity to teach others who I am and what my culture stands for.

MY RESPONSIBILITIES as a father and leader are to set an example for others around me. I can either be a positive influence or make choices that leave a negative impact, but whatever I do I am teaching them how to conduct themselves.

MY INFLUENCE is my walk with God! My faith in HIM influences everything that I do. My parents are also an influence to me. My mother raised me by herself and introduced me to God, she also taught me to never give up and her influence allowed me to discover many gifts and talents. With my gifts and talents, my father taught me how to use them efficiently. The other person that was an influence to me was my grandfather, Everett Sweezy; he pushed me to be a better person to All people. In saying all of this, if I can’t visit an institution because I honor my Faith, then I don’t want to visit at all.
